Cleaning specific carpet stains

Let’s see how to clean some of the most common carpet spots.

  • Acid spots: bleach or vinegar stains require quick action. Clean them immediately with baking soda and water. It is then good to apply a solution of ammonia and water in proportions of 1:10. Rinse with cold water, allow to dry, and then carefully sweep the vacuum cleaner.

  • Spots of alcoholic beverages: Quickly clean the stain with cold water. Absorb excess fluid. Then mix one teaspoon of detergent, 1 teaspoon of white vinegar and 1 liter of warm water. Use the mixture to remove the stain and then let the carpet dry. Gently clean with a vacuum cleaner.

  • Blood stains: Absorb as much blood as possible. Then mix one teaspoon of detergent, 1 teaspoon of white vinegar and 1 liter of warm water. Use the blend to remove the stain. Then apply a dry cleaner, and when the carpet dries, clean with a vacuum cleaner.

  • Oil stains: Scrape as much oil as possible. Apply a dry cleaner and let the carpet dry. If the stain is not yet removed, repeat the procedure. Gently clean with a vacuum cleaner.

  • Wax stains: Press the ice cube on the stain. The wax will harden and then it can be shredded very easily.

  • Ketchup: Clean the carpet with a sponge dipped in a mixture of 1 cup of vinegar and 2 cups of water. Squeeze the sponge and repeat the procedure until the stain disappears.

  • Chewing gum: Chewing gum may have become sticky, so it should be hardened by pressing a cube of ice on it. Once cured, the chewing gum can be easily scraped off.

  • Chocolate: Immediately scrape the chocolate from the carpet. Mix 1 teaspoon of detergent, 1 teaspoon of white vinegar and 1 liter of warm water. Apply the mixture and clean the place. Rinse well and, after drying, pass the area with a vacuum cleaner.

  • Coffee: Soak spilled coffee immediately. Then mix 1 teaspoon of detergent, 1 teaspoon of white vinegar and 1 liter of warm water. Apply the mixture to the place and let it dry. Apply a dry cleaner. Finally, move carefully with a vacuum cleaner.

  • Pastels: Scrape the pastel or remove it by placing a blotter paper over the place and pressing it with a warm iron until the paper absorbs the melted pastel. Then apply liquid for dry cleaning and wait for the carpet to dry. Gently clean with a vacuum cleaner.

  • Fruits: Fruit stains can be very difficult to remove if they are allowed to harden. If it acts quickly, however, the stain can be easily removed by using the following method: scrape the fruit residue and soak the fruit juice. Mix 1 teaspoon of detergent, 1 teaspoon of white vinegar and 1 liter of warm water. Clean with the mixture and let the carpet dry. If the stain remains, repeat the procedure. Finally, use a vacuum cleaner.

  • Juice: Wipe as much as possible from spilled juice. Mix 1 teaspoon of detergent, 1 teaspoon of white vinegar and 1 liter of warm water. After cleaning with the mixture, use a dry cleaner. When the carpet dries, take a vacuum cleaner.
